Although I'm probably best known by my dog as the guy who can throw a ball the farthest, I have also been a graphic design intern at ad agencies, fumbled with home winemaking, ruined nice lumber as an amateur woodworker and worked for the non-profit Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra marketing department. My passion for mountain biking guided me to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2008 as a Graphic Designer for Rotating Mass Media. I've worked on every issue of Dirt Rag Magazine from 2008 to 2015.
With the growth of RMM's second title, Bicycle Times, I was promoted to Art Director of Dirt Rag in 2010. For five years I directed the development and evolution of the independently owned publication's visual style as well as managing several merchandising projects.
After transplanting myself to Colorado's Front Range in 2013 I tried to accept my role as a contributor to the sprawling growth of the region while defending my front lawn from the neighbors' dogs. I attempted to justify a prefab house by using Denver as a hub for as many biking and skiing adventures that my schedule allowed.
In November of 2015, I accepted a Senior Graphic Designer position at SCOTT Sports in Salt Lake City, UT. My migration West continued to the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains where I have helped develop trade show, marketing and retail visual assets for the multifaceted SCOTT Sports brand.
I find inspiration in all things designed and crafted well; including architecture, motorcycles, bicycles, furniture, print media, packaging and any widget that melds simple functionality with elegant aesthetics. Some of the greatest perks while at Dirt Rag Magazine were the opportunities to travel. I love the fact that my bike has become an enabler to explore different places and meet some of the best people in my life. My tenure at SCOTT Sports has maintained the passion I have for design and the outdoor industry. Everyday I look forward to helping inspire people to go ride and challenge themselves.
